    Helen Forrest (Ap – J ) was one of the most popular female jazz vocalists during America's Big Band era. She was born Helen Fogel to a Jewish family in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Ap She first sang with her brother's band at the age of 10, and later began her career singing on CBS radio under the name Bonn +Forrest.   Helen Forrest, the big-band singer whose dreamy hits with the Harry James orchestra distilled the nostalgic spirit of World War II pop, died on Sunday at the Motion Picture Country Home and

Helen Forrest was born on April the 12th,and must have been quite talented musically when she was young, as she first began singing in her brother’s band. Helen Forrest began performing on CBS as “Bonnie Blue.” She used other names early in her career such as the “Blue Lady.” Helen Forrest was simply the best female singer of all time.
